Adjusting product tabs (Professional design)

Written by Steven Veenstra

Please note! This feature only works on our Professional design (Metro theme).

With this explanation, you can adjust the following.

Step 1 - Choosing which products I want to show

You can choose from a selection of categories; you find them as follows:

- Go to the back end of your webshop (the CMS)

- Go to "Webwinkel" (Webshop) and then, on the left, to "Categorieën" (Categories).

- Choose 1 of the categories or subcategories here

Step 2 - Giving the tabs a name

- Go to the back end of your webshop (the CMS)

- Go to "paginabeheer" (page management) and then, on the left, to "paginaboom" (page tree).

- Then find "Trending Producten" (Trending products) (To make it easier, you can first collapse everything using the - signs on the left)

- Here you can change the title and tabs.

- To change the tabs, find the tab you want to adjust and click (Wijzigen) (Edit) on the right

- A new page now opens

- Here you only adjust the name; choose a name that suits your category.

- Then click save.

The name has now been changed and will be shown in the shop.

Step 3 - Linking the category to the tab

- Go to the back end of your webshop (the CMS)

- Go to "paginabeheer" (page management) and then, on the left, to "layout bewerken" (edit layout)

- Then click "direct naar layoutbewerking" (go directly to layout editor).

- In the menu on the left, go to "Inhoud" (Content)

- Here you'll see "Header - trending products" and, below it, the horizontal product sliders.

It works as follows

It works in order.

- In the menu on the left, now click the little pencil that configures your specific tab. (For office this is "Tab 1"; I'll use it as an example)

- A pop-up now opens

- In the pop-up, go to the "Standaard" (Default) tab

- Scroll down until you reach "Toon producten op basis van *" (Show products based on *).

- Then find, in the dropdown menu, the category you want to link to your tab. (For me that's office, so I choose office and business)

- Now click "Opslaan" (Save)

- To make the changes visible to your customers, you still need to publish the layout.

You can then view the changes on the live version of your webshop.
