Why adjust categories?
Categories make it easier for your customers to quickly find what they're looking for. A well-organized webshop with clear categories can increase your sales and provides a pleasant shopping experience. Think of arranging products by themes, seasons or specific product groups, so that everything stays nice and clear.

In your CMS (back-end), go to "Webwinkel" (Webshop).
In the menu on the left, click "Categorieën" (Categories).
Click "Nieuwe categorie" (New category).
Enter a category name and optionally choose a parent category. Then click "Opslaan en verder" (Save and continue).

In the menu on the left, click "Categorieën" (Categories).
Find the right category and click "Wijzigen" (Edit).
Tip!
Use clear category names to keep things clear for customers. Also make sure you don't create too deep a hierarchy, as this causes confusion for visitors.

Naam (Name): Give your category a clear and short name. This helps your customers quickly find what they're looking for.
Omschrijving (Description): Add a description that is shown below the category name. This helps customers better understand what they can find in this category.
Bovenliggende categorie (Parent category): If you create a subcategory, choose the main category here. This keeps your categories clear and structured.
Link: The URL of the category. You can have this generated automatically or adjust it yourself by unticking 'Link opnieuw automatisch samenstellen' (Regenerate link automatically).
Extra productomschrijving (Extra product description): This description is shown for all products in the category. The most common location where this is shown is on the product page, next to or near the description. This can optionally be its own 'tab' if your webshop uses tabs for the price and product information.
SEO: Adjust the search engine optimization settings here to make your category easier to find. You can find more details about this here: Getting started with SEO
Extra omschrijving (Extra description): An extra text box for SEO purposes. This is usually shown at the bottom of the category page, after the products.
Minimale bestelhoeveeldheid (Minimum order quantity): Set here how many units of a product must be ordered as a minimum.

Add a menu image or category banner to make the category visually appealing. Upload an image and choose how it should be displayed.
Add a main image. This is the thumbnail image of the category overview. For example:
Banner image. This is the full-width image of a category. It usually appears above the title. For example:

Here you'll find an overview of all products in the category. You can change products, delete them or adjust the order.
