Setting a margin on imprint prices and setup costs

Written by Steven Veenstra

What types of imprint and setup cost margins are there?

Within the webshop, you can set a margin on the imprint prices and setup costs in 2 ways.

Setting a general margin

  1. In the CMS, go to "Instellingen" (Settings).

  2. Open the "Promobase" tab.

  3. Navigate to "Marges" (Margins).
Here you'll find 3 options, of which you need 2.
    - Marge factor voor bedrukking instelkosten (Margin factor for imprint setup costs)
    - Marge factor voor bedrukkingsprijzen (Margin factor for imprint prices)

  4. Enter your margin here. For example: if you want a 50% margin, enter 1.5 (because 1 is the base price and 0.5 is your profit).

  5. Click "Opslaan en verder" (Save and continue).

Information

If you've set something different for a supplier, your webshop uses that margin instead of this general one.

Setting a margin per supplier

  1. In the CMS, go to "Webwinkel" (Webshop).

  2. In the menu on the left, go to "Suppliers".

  3. Find the supplier you want to adjust and click "Wijzigen" (Edit).

  4. Now you'll see fields where you can enter the margins:
    - Standaard marge bedrukking (Default imprint margin)
    - Standaard instelkosten marge (Default setup cost margin)

  5. For example, enter 1.5 for a 50% margin.

  6. Click "Opslaan en verder" (Save and continue).

Setting a default setup cost amount per supplier

Set a default amount for the setup costs per supplier. You can choose to use a fixed amount for each colour, or a default setup cost amount for engraving or embroidery.

How do I set this up?

Step 1: Go to "Webwinkel" (Webshop).

Step 2: In the menu on the left, go to "Suppliers".

Step 3: Click "Wijzigen" (Edit) for the supplier where you want to set the margin.

Step 4: Fill in the desired default setup cost fields with an amount.

Here you'll find 3 options

  1. Standaard instelkosten per kleur (Default setup costs per colour)

  2. Standaard instelkosten gravure (Default setup costs for engraving)

  3. Standaard instelkosten borduring (Default setup costs for embroidery)

Please note!

Don't enter a euro sign. Just an amount like "44.95" is sufficient.

It's important to only fill in the fields that are without "Marge" (Margin) in the label.

Step 5: Click "Opslaan en verder" (Save and continue) at the bottom.

Priority rules

Priority rules are rules that connect to each other; however, one always takes priority over the other. In the case of setup cost margins, the more specific the setting, the more heavily it counts.

Below you'll find a priority scheme. It runs from x to x. 1 counts the most heavily, and the higher the number, the less heavily it counts.
