Why set margins and a minimum purchase quantity?
Setting margins ensures that you make a profit on your products, while a minimum purchase quantity prevents customers from ordering quantities that are too small. This helps you work more efficiently and maximise your profit.
Please note!
Before you start setting your margins, it's important to think carefully about which type of margin you want to set, using the choices below. When doing so, make sure you calculate the margin based on the correct prices (purchase or sale). See also: Viewing supplier overview, updates and price types

Choose the assortment whose margin you want to set and click "Wijzigen" (Edit).

You can optionally add extra rows for price tiers.

Setting a margin based on a 'from' price (Advanced)
Setting a margin based on a 'from' price (Advanced)
The most flexibility and options, and you immediately set a minimum order value with it. Our recommendation.
Please note!
Before you can start with this, you must activate the table view for margins. Click here to activate the table view.
What does "Setting a margin based on a 'from' price" mean?
If you don't want customers to order just one cheap item, such as a pen of €0.12, but do want them to be able to buy a more expensive coat from one piece, this feature is ideal.
In short: Suppose you have a product of €1 ('from' price) and you want the minimum order value to be €100. Then, for the 'from' price of €1, you enter a purchase quantity of 100 pieces (100 x €1 = €100). For a different 'from' price, you can set a different purchase quantity and margin factor.
This way, you prevent low-priced items from being bought from 1 piece and avoid being checkmated on products that are much more expensive.
Where do I fill in this table?
In your CMS (back-end), go to "Mijn Suppliers" (My Suppliers).
Find the desired assortment and click "Bewerk marges" (Edit margins).
Tip!
Download our margin table calculator (Click here) or via the attachment at the bottom of this article. This calculator helps you calculate the correct prices for both the purchase and sale price types. An example:
How does it work in practice?
The system automatically chooses the most suitable margin table based on the 'from' price of the product variant.
Example: If the 'from' price is €1.20, then "Margetabel € 1,00" is applied based on the screenshot above, because this comes closest to the 'from' price.
Tip!
You can find an item's 'from' price in the CMS. When you look up and edit an item, you see the 'Ingeladen prijzen' (Loaded prices) per variant. These prices are used when calculating the correct sale prices (loaded price x margin factor = sale price). Click here to find out how to find an item in the CMS
The "Laagste aantal als minimale afname overnemen" (Adopt the lowest quantity as minimum purchase quantity) and "Margetabel van leverancier overschrijven" (Overwrite supplier's margin table) settings
If these settings are enabled, the supplier's minimum purchase quantity and margin table are overwritten with your settings. Read more below.
Ready for the next step?
Let the system link the margin table(s) to the correct product(s) automatically. Click here to link your margin table (Choose automatic).
Tip!
We always recommend using the "Setting a margin based on a 'from' price (Advanced)" option. This option has the most extensive setting possibilities and provides the best result. With it, you easily calculate your minimum order value.
