Creating or editing discount codes

What is a discount code?

A discount code is a unique code that customers can enter with their order to receive a discount. Think of a percentage such as 10% off, or a fixed amount such as €5 off. Perfect for special promotions, loyal customers or to sell off remaining stock.

Getting started with your discount codes

How do I create a discount code?

  1. In your CMS (back-end), go to "Instellingen" (Settings).
    ​

  2. In the menu on the left, click "Kortingen" (Discounts).
    ​

  3. Click "Korting aanmaken" (Create discount).
    ​

  4. Enter a "Naam" (Name).

  5. Click Save.
    ​

  6. Fill in the details:

    • Soort korting (Type of discount): Choose between:

      • Percentage (e.g. 20% off)

      • Fixed amount (e.g. €10 off)

      • New amount (e.g. €100 total)

    • Korting (Discount): Enter how much discount you want to give.

    • Minimum bedrag (Minimum amount) (optional): Do you only want to apply the discount from a certain order value? Enter that here.

  7. Click "Opslaan en terug" (Save and return).

  8. Go to the "Kortingscodes" (Discount codes) tab.
    ​

  9. Click "Kortingscode(s) aanmaken" (Create discount code(s)).
    ​

  10. Fill in the details:

    • Aantal te genereren codes (Number of codes to generate): Enter how many codes you want to have created.

    • Korting (Discount): Indicate which discount promotion these codes are intended for

    • Geldig tot en met (Valid until and including): Set an end date.

  11. Click "Opslaan" (Save).

Tip!

Do you want to create a unique discount code such as "WELKOM10" or something else? Then generate a code and adjust it by hand by clicking Edit after generating. We tell you more about this in "How do I edit an existing discount code?"

How do I edit an existing discount code?

  1. In your CMS (back-end), go to "Instellingen" (Settings).
    ​

  2. In the menu on the left, click "Kortingen" (Discounts).
    ​

  3. Go to the "Kortingscodes" (Discount codes) tab.
    ​

  4. Find the desired discount code and click "Wijzigen" (Edit).
    ​

  5. Fill in the details:

    • Kortingscode (Discount code): Enter the discount code you want to use here.

    • Geldig tot (Valid until): Set an end date.

    • Aantal keren te gebruiken (Number of times it can be used): Enter how often the code may be used.

    • Altijd te gebruiken (Always usable): Indicate whether the code may be used without limit.

  6. Click "Opslaan en terug" (Save and return).
