Retrieving or regenerating my sitemap

Written by Steven Veenstra

What is a sitemap?

A sitemap is like a table of contents of your webshop. It contains an overview of all internal links, such as categories, products and pages. It helps search engines like Google to understand and index your webshop faster and better.

How do I find my sitemap?

You can easily view your sitemap by typing /sitemap.xml after your webshop URL.

Example: jouwdomein.nl/sitemap.xml

Please note!

Loading the sitemap can take a while, depending on the size of your webshop (number of products, pages, categories).

How do I regenerate my sitemap?

Your webshop's sitemap is automatically updated every 24 hours. Normally you don't need to do anything about this. But if you've made major changes, such as adding new categories or products, you can also regenerate the sitemap manually:

  1. Type /sitemap.xml?regen=1 after your webshop URL.
    Example: jouwdomein.nl/sitemap.xml?regen=1

  2. Press Enter and wait while the sitemap is regenerated.
