What is a discount code?
A discount code is a unique code that customers can enter at checkout to receive a discount. Think of it as a percentage like 10% off, or a fixed amount like €5 off. Perfect for special promotions, loyal customers, or to clear out inventory.
Getting started with your discount codes
How do I create a discount code?
- Go to "Settings" via your CMS (Back-end).
- Click on "Discounts" in the left menu.
- Click on "Create Discount".
- Enter a "Name".
- Click on Save.
- Fill in the details:
- Type of discount: Choose between:
- Percentage (e.g., 20% discount)
- Fixed amount (e.g., €10 off)
- New amount (e.g., €100 total)
- Discount: Enter how much discount you want to give.
- Minimum amount (optional): Do you want the discount to apply only for a specific order value? Enter it here.
- Type of discount: Choose between:
- Click on "Save and Back".
- Go to the "Discount Codes" tab.
- Click on "Create Discount Code(s)".
- Fill in the details:
- Number of codes to generate: Enter how many codes you want to create.
- Discount: Indicate what discount action these codes are for.
- Valid until: Set an expiration date.
- Click on "Save".

Want to create a unique discount code like "WELCOME10" or something else? Generate a code and then manually adjust it by clicking edit after generation. More about this will be covered in "How do I modify an existing discount code?"
How do I modify an existing discount code?
- Go to "Settings" via your CMS (Back-end).
- Click on "Discounts" in the left menu.
- Go to the "Discount Codes" tab.
- Search for the desired discount code and click on "Edit".
- Fill in the details:
- Discount Code: Enter the desired discount code here.
- Valid until: Set an expiration date.
- Number of times it can be used: Enter how many times the code can be used.
- Always usable: Indicate whether the code can be used unlimited times.
- Click on "Save and Back".
