Why Shipping Costs Matter

Shipping costs are a powerful marketing tool. Customers understand that shipping has a cost, but by strategically managing shipping fees, you can find the right balance between attractive prices and acceptable costs. This can even lead to higher spending!

Choose one of the following options to get started:

Standard Shipping
Set a fixed shipping rate for all orders.
  1. In your CMS (Back-end), navigate to "Settings".
  2. Open the "Shipping Methods" tab.
  3. Expand "Standard".
  4. Enter the description (label name).
  5. Enter the shipping costs.
  6. Set "Available in shop" to "Yes".
  7. Click "Save and continue".
Express Shipping
Set a higher shipping rate for rush orders.
  1. In your CMS (Back-end), navigate to "Settings".
  2. Open the "Shipping Methods" tab.
  3. Expand "Express Shipping".
  4. Enter the description (label name).
  5. Enter the shipping costs.
  6. Set "Available in shop" to "Yes".
  7. Click "Save and continue".
Variable Shipping (Popular)
Vary the shipping rate based on order value.
  1. In your CMS (Back-end), navigate to "Settings".
  2. Open the "Shipping Methods" tab.
  3. Expand "Variable Shipping".
  4. Enter the description (label name).
  5. Enter the shipping costs for samples.
  6. Specify the costs based on order value.
In "Minimum amount", indicate the order value from which the corresponding price applies. Example: For orders from €0 to €500, shipping costs are €12. For orders over €500, shipping is €0 (free).
  7. Set "Available in shop" to "Yes".
  8. Click "Save and continue".

Tip!

High shipping costs can deter customers. Try to keep shipping costs as low as possible. Offering free shipping above a certain order value is a great way to boost sales.
